Moments from the Scholarship Luncheon featuring honorees, winners, performances and guests.
Since our founding in 1983, the Episcopal Chorale Society,Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, has been an ardent supporter of youth in the arts. To date, we have awarded over 100 scholarships to 11th and 12th graders with talent in the following areas:
Vocal - Instrumental - Drama - Dance
Audition notices are posted here and distributed to high schools throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Scholarships range from $500.00 to $2500.00. In some years, when the competition has been stiff, honorable mentions are awarded as well.
All winners are required to perform at the Scholarship Luncheon at the Los Angeles Millennium Biltmore Hotel.
1. Students must be in 11th or 12th grade at the time of the audition.
2. Each applicant has a maximum of three (3) minutes for their presentation.
3. Applicants must provide their own accompanist (pianist, tape player, CD player, etc.).
4. Each applicant is required to submit an application and a black and white head shot at the time of the audition.
Judging is based on a point system that considers degree of difficulty, style of delivery, professionalism and appearance.
